Gaye is one of our most experienced weavers and always has something interesting to relay to us.
The three woven pieces featured here were all made using the same loom and the same warp. Gaye was showing us the differences in width of the finished products based upon the fibre chosen for the weft. There really was quite a difference in the finished width using silk, handspun wool or non-handspun yarn.
The top two pieces are reverse twill and the third piece is plain weave. All beautifully made. Thank you Gaye for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
Beautiful work Gay.
