Charlotte’s First Quilt

Charlotte's quilt

Charlotte made this sampler quilt quite some time ago, and it was her first.  The quilt is 1.2m x 1.2m.  The styles used were different in each section, including log cabin, machine embroidery, hand embroidery, hand-piecing, English paper piecing, pin wheel, flying ducks and hand-pieced hexagons.  What an amazing first effort.

Eileen’s Finished Quilt

Eileen's Quilt

Here is Eileen’s quilt that she has finished after working on it off and on for a couple of years.  She did the embroidered squares first and then found some fabric to fill in the rest that would accent the lighter squares.  Eileen is going to keep it for herself.  Good on you Eileen.

Kathryn’s Quilt

Kathryn's Quilt

Kathryn is currently working on the above quilt.  What a huge amount of work.  This is a gorgeous children’s quilt with so many bright colours.  I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Jill’s Community Quilt

Jill Community Quilt
Jill has returned after an absence in England for the Marathon and breezed in with this lovely community quilt on her return. Busy people achieve wonderful things. This quilt will be loved by its final recipient. Thank you Jill. By Lyn A.

Sue’s Appliqué

Sue's applique
Sue is doing such fantastic artful work towards her Quilt. Sue is doing an appliqué  quilt of Australian animals in Aboriginal prints.  The technique is drawing onto the fabric, then the appliqué and painting the outline. This all sounds remarkable and we are all looking forward to seeing and learning how you have achieved the finished item. This will certainly have a lot of WOW factor. By Lyn A.

Anne’s UFO

Anne's UFO

Anne was working on a multitude of hexagons in various stages of completion and all some sort of green.  They were originally for a project or possibly more than one project, but so much time has passed that Anne no longer remembers what that may have been.  I bet that sounds familiar to at least a few of us.  Anyway, they are now being given a new lease of life and Anne will reduce the size of her UFO basket just a little.
