New Quilter

This is Helen.  She is proudly holding her finished quilt.  She is a new comer to the world of quilting.  This quilt will eventually be donated to the community.  It was made from material donated to the guild.  Well done Helen and well done to the ladies who assisted her in this task.

Quilt Handover

Once a month some of the ladies in our Guild meet to make quilts and items for our community.  We recently donated 20 quilts and 24 pillow cases to the Child Protection Counselling Service of the Local Central Coast Health District.  These beautiful quilts will be given to parents, grandparents, children and carers who have experienced trauma or violence.  We hope they will make someones day a little brighter.

Noelene’s Quilt

Here is the latest quilt from Noelene. She called it Welcome to our Jungle. She made it for her new grand niece. She used a charming cot panel & finished it with a combination of machine & hand quilting.

Sue’s Quilt

I made this quilt for my mother in memory of our Central Australia trip. The patterns for the animals and some of the fabric were purchased in Alice Springs. Techniques include appliqué with machined blanket stitch and hand painting. I free motion quilted gum leaves on the plain blocks.  By Sue N.
