This textile was inspired by a trip to Carnarvon Gorge and followed a class with my friend Kay Haerland, where I learnt so much about choosing particular fabrics and stitching techniques in order to achieve the effects I wanted. The background was hand-painted and then machine appliqued. By Jenni M.
