Felting Workshop

What a wonderful day we all had at the cottage today. There was six of us attending the Nuno Felting workshop with the very talented Carolyn Kohler. Everyone went home very happy with their wrap and they were all so different but all looked just amazing. I asked the ladies to share their thoughts on the workshop and here is what they had to say …
* Marvellous workshop with a patient and talented tutor.
* I am so thrilled with the skills I have learnt today and so proud of my piece.
*Thank you so much Carolyn for a wonderful day, your calmness and encouragement was invaluable.
*I am thrilled with my Shawl and am In awe of the wonderful creations you guided us all to produce. This was an unforgettable day and the start of a whole new fibre adventure for me.
Carolyn has promised to come back next year to do another workshop for those who were interested but unable to attend today.

Social Function

Being a member of our guild provides not only an avenue to pursue your favourite crafts, it also provides an opportunity to engage in very pleasant social outings among friends.  Thank you to our Social convener Ruth and to Beth for making her home available. The pot luck lunch was very tasty.

Knitting off the Bobbin

Jan S wearing her wild spun knitted off the bobbin shawl, her daughter is now suffering from shawl envy…. guess she’ll have to make another!

Jenny M (with her back to us) is wearing the fabulous creation from her wild spun off the bobbin shawl.

Noelene’s Quilt

Here is the latest quilt from Noelene. She called it Welcome to our Jungle. She made it for her new grand niece. She used a charming cot panel & finished it with a combination of machine & hand quilting.

Wool Bowls

Lyn Hilton from our neighbours, The Potter’s Society, has made some lovely pottery wool bowls for all our knitters and crocheters.  It stops your ball from rolling all over the place.  Won’t stop your cat from attacking it though.  We love Lyn’s beautiful bowls.
