Hat Stands

Hat standLyn A arrived at the Cottage the other day with some nifty little hat stands that she had found.  We are always looking for extra stands for our hats when we have exhibitions or are setting up displays.  These little stands are very light, very quick to put together, and come apart for easy storage.  These are a great idea.  Thank you Lyn.

Bev’s Bag

Bev's felted bagBev made this lovely felted bag for her sister-in-law for her birthday. Bev hand-dyed the wool before felting.  The inside is fully lined with pockets and a zipper to keep your precious belongings safe.  She is going to love it.

Chess Board

Chess board squaresThese squares are made out of knitted, undyed, handspun alpaca.  The fibre was all spun by Lyn A.  We had originally planned a weaving project, and then Debbie had a fantastic idea which was to make up a chessboard. A bunch of our members took home a ball or few and started knitting the squares.  A few more to go and it’s all done. Debbie is sorting out some large chess pieces as each square is eleven by eleven centimetres.  Can’t wait to see it finished.
