Tartan Weaving

This Tartan wrap was created on a rigid heddle loom using acrylic yarn to demonstrate at the Gosford Show that weaving does not have to be expensive or complicated. The pattern used is based on the Gordon clan tartan. A little imagination can go a long way in weaving.  By Gay.

Debbie’s Gorgeous Hat

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERADebbie was doing some lovely, brightly coloured knitting last week, but we weren’t permitted to see the pattern until the item was finished.  This week, Debbie walks in wearing the final product – this amazing hat that allows her thick ponytail to poke out through a hole in the top.  Ingenious I say.  By Naomi.

Open Day

The Potter’s Society next door had an open day and invited us to join in. Here we are just getting set up. Olive and Jenny are having a breather before getting into it all. Gay is in the foreground, busy with her spinning.  Noelene, Beth and Fi, are busy pinning out a quilt. The tree of Naomi’s wool skeins is on the right and looking great.  It was all systems go.
